Ferrell Hospital partners with Chemo Buddies to provide companions for chemotherapy patients during time-consuming treatments. They offer simple hospitality such as providing snacks, books, playing games, getting blankets and sharing stories. Chemo Buddies provide a comforting experience physically, mentally and spiritually.

The $17,000 donation from the Star Church Women’s Ministries “Auction for Hope” will be used to purchase high-quality hygiene items for the bags that all chemotherapy patients receive when they receive treatment at Ferrell Hospital, and also towards building a transportation program for getting patients to and from their treatments.

Kristin Parks, Director of Physician Practices at Ferrell Hospital, says, “We would like to thank Star Church Women’s Ministries for their donation to Chemo Buddies at Ferrell Hospital. We are humbled by the generosity of our community. The Chemo Buddies at Ferrell Hospital make such a huge impact on the lives of our patients, but also our entire Ferrell Family.”
