CARMI – The City of Carmi says both lanes of Main Street (Illinois 1) will be closed between the intersections of Main Street and Oak Street and Main Street and 4th Street beginning Thursday, June 1. The closure is anticipated to last several weeks.

IDOT will be removing and replacing a culvert under Main Street, along with the relocation of water and sewer lines.

Alternate routes should be used.
