CARTERVILLE – Westbound traffic on Illinois 13 near Crab Orchard Lake was shut down for some time Tuesday after a semi delivering steel to a nearby construction site became stuck blocking the roadway.

According to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, crews worked to clear the vehicle. Drivers were told to use secondary routes between Carterville and Carbondale until the roadway reopened.
