SESSER – Sesser Mayor Jason Ashmore says the city has been awarded a $650,000 Housing Rehabilitation Grant through the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, funded by HUD.

The grant will be used to help rehabilitate owner-occupied homes, improve safety, and strengthen neighborhoods in Sesser.

The mayor thanked our local, state and federal officials along with the Crosswalk Community Action Agency for their help getting this grant.
