SPRINGFIELD – IDOT says lanes that have been closed for construction will reopen, where possible, for the long Thanksgiving weekend to minimize travel disruption.
Non-emergency closures will be suspended from 3 p.m. Wednesday to 11:59 p.m. Sunday.
Some lane closures will still be in effect in our area as well in other parts of the state, so you should expect delays and allow for extra time for your trip.
