BENTON – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office released the following information on Monday, April 29, 2024.

4-19-24 Anthony T. Williams, age 53, of Mt. Vernon was issued a traffic citation for speeding.

4-19-24 Kathryn G. Murphy, age 57, of Thompsonville was issued a traffic citation for speeding.

4-22-24 Jeffery S. Phillips, age 19, of Benton was arrested for bringing contraband into a penal institution. Phillips also had a Franklin County failure to appear warrant for possession of a stolen vehicle.

4-23-24 Matthew I. Wilson, age 44, of Du Quoin was issued a traffic citation for driving without lights when required.

4-23-24 Takyra T. Netterville, age 31, of Greenville, MS, was arrested for two counts of aggravated battery.

4-23-24 Crystal E. Summers, age 44, of Benton was arrested for aggravated battery.

4-23-24 William D. Basenberg Jr., age 30, of Buckner was arrested for burglary and theft.

4-23-24 Robert K. Wagner, age 54, of Thompsonville was arrested for domestic battery.

4-23-24 Crystal E. Summers, age 44, of Benton was arrested for aggravated battery.

4-24-24 Cassandra J. James, age 27, of Sesser was issued a traffic citation for improper use of an electronic device.

4-24-24 Scotty E. Armstrong, age 57, of Fenton, MO, was issued a traffic citation for improper use of an electronic device.

4-24-24 Cole E. Mosby, age 20, of McLeansboro was issued a traffic citation for improper use of an electronic device.

4-24-24 Melissa S. Hungate, age 60, of McLeansboro was issued a traffic citation for improper use of an electronic device.

4-24-24 Melissa M. Keller, age 47, of Benton was issued a traffic citation for speed.

4-25-24 Breanna K. Summers, age 23, of West Frankfort was issued a traffic citation for improper use of an electronic device.

4-25-24 Jonathon M. Jarrett, age 34, of Christopher was issued a traffic citation for failure to wear a seat belt.

4-27-24 Shelly N. Burchell, age 32, of Benton was issued traffic citations for improper lane usage, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and operating a vehicle with an expired registration.

4-27-24 Tyler L. James, age 40, of Christopher was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, obstructing justice, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

4-28-24 Nicholas P. Wilburn, age 34, of West Frankfort was issued a traffic citation for improper use of an electronic device.

4-28-24 Tiffin L. Kouzoukas, age 18, of Benton was issued a traffic citation for improper use of an electronic device.

4-28-24 Danielle R. McCormick, age 36, of Benton was issued a traffic citation for improper use of an electronic device.

4-28-24 Jennifer J. Naas, age 53, of Harrisburg was issued a traffic citation for improper use of an electronic device.

4-28-24 Kasey M. Pyron, age 34, of Du Quoin was issued a traffic citation for improper use of an electronic device.

4-28-24 Preston M. Shuman, age 23, of West Frankfort was arrested for adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle, speeding, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

4-29-24 Matthew W. Roberts, age 31, of Logan was arrested for aggravated assault.
