HARRISBURG – Two men were arrested early Friday morning in Harrisburg on meth charges following a narcotics investigation by the Southern Illinois Enforcement Group.

According to Harrisburg Police, Nathan C. Brooks of Harrisburg was informally charged with two counts of Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine 5 to 15 grams – a Class X felony. Donald L. Frayser, also of Harrisburg, was informally charged with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine 5 to 15 grams. Both men were lodged in the Saline County Detention Center.  Police say more charges are expected to be filed.

Police say at 6 a.m. Friday, Harrisburg Police and the Saline County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Southern Illinois Enforcement Group and the Illinois State Police Tactical Response Team in executing a search warrant at a home in the 600 block of South Granger Street in Harrisburg. The warrant was issued as a result of a narcotics investigation conducted by the Southern Illinois Enforcement Group. Agents arrested Brooks and Frayser. Agents also recovered during the search two firearms and an additional amount of methamphetamine.
