CARBONDALE – We’re now a month out from “The Coldest Night of the Year”- a fundraising campaign for the Carbondale Warming Center.

This fundraising campaign takes place throughout Canada and the U.S. on Feb. 24 – the average coldest night of the year date throughout these regions. Participants form teams and fundraise for a local charity or organization. For Carbondale and the surrounding region, that organization will be the Carbondale Warming Center, which since the pandemic began has been providing 24/7 assistance to those in need during these extreme freezing temperatures.

You can sign up to form a team, join a team, or donate today at https://cnoy.com/location/carbondale. The actual event itself will take place on Feb. 24 at Carbondale Community High School. All registered teams will come together for a 3-5k walk surrounding this location, and a celebratory party with food and fun will occur as the walkers return from their journey.
