MARION – Deaconess Illinois is pleased to announce that general surgeon Andre’ Nunn, MD, FACS, is now seeing patients at Deaconess Illinois Specialty Clinic, 3331 W. DeYoung St., Ste. 305, Marion.

Originally from Alexandria, Alabama, Dr. Nunn attended University of Alabama School of Medicine graduating with his Doctor of Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency at Marshall University School of Medicine in Huntington, West Virginia. He has served as Medical Director of Bariatric Surgery at Garden City Hospital, Chief of Surgery at St. John Detroit Riverview Hospital, and most recently as President and CEO of Detroit Surgical Specialist, PC.

Dr. Nunn said his practice philosophy is rooted in the belief that every patient deserves not just medical expertise but also compassionate and personalized care.

“I approach each case with the understanding that behind every ailment is a unique individual, and their well-being is my paramount concern,” Dr. Nunn said. 

He enjoys spending time with his 7- and 20-year-old sons. Dr. Nunn said he looks forward not just to providing exceptional surgical care but also becoming an integral part of Marion’s vibrant community.
