The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office says when deputies arrived, they spoke to neighbors who said that Jonathan M. Tolbert had fired a handgun during an argument.

Investigators discovered that the disturbance began as one resident, Johnathan A. Ross, approached neighbors claiming they were “spying” on his house.

While neighbors spoke to Ross another resident, Nita L. Tolbert, approached and threatened physical harm against a pregnant female resident.

The neighbors then asked Jonathan Tolbert, Johnathan Ross, and Nita Tolbert to leave their property. A physical altercation then occurred between the parties and concluded when Jonathan Tolbert removed a firearm from his waist band and fired a shot.

No one was struck by gunfire and all parties refused medical attention for minor scratches and a bleeding lip. Investigators recovered a 9mm casing which was photographed and collected as evidence.

Jonathan M. Tolbert was arrested and charged with Reckless Discharge of a Firearm and Mob Action. Nita L. Tolbert was arrested and charged with Mob Action, Obstructing Justice, and Assault. Johnathan L. Ross was arrested and charged with Mob Action and Battery. All there were lodged in the Williamson County Jail.
