BENTON – Around 5,700 Ameren Illinois customers were without power Monday night in Franklin County.

According to Franklin County Emergency Management, an investigation began to find the cause of the outage which was believed to be centered around the Benton area. No critical incidents were reported to 911. Ameren’s online outage map Tuesday morning did not show any outages in Franklin County.
