MT. VERNON – The City of Mt. Vernon is reminding water customers that fire hydrants in the city will be tested this week, weather permitting.

Testing will start Tuesday and run through Friday.

The areas to be tested will be primarily North of Broadway, from 42nd Street to Potomac Boulevard.

Residents need to be aware that testing can cause discoloration in the water supply in the area being tested.
