CARMI – The following information was released by the Carmi Police Department on Sunday, February 26, 2023.

Twenty-one-year-old Lauren M. Schnitzler of Carmi was arrested at 11 p.m. Saturday in the 1600 block of S. Saunders Ave. for misdemeanor domestic battery after Carmi Police received a report about a domestic violence incident occurring.

According to a Carmi Police report, Schnitzler allegedly put bite marks on 21-year-old Cobie R. Vogler of Carmi.

Schnitzler was booked into the White County Jail on Domestic Battery where she awaits bond to be set.

Fifty-five-year-old Douglas C. Watkins of Carmi signed a complaint against 61-year-old Robin L. Watkins of Carmi just before 1 Saturday afternoon for Domestic Violence and Aggravated Assault after throwing items at him and threatening bodily harm. Robin L. Watkins was taken into custody without incident in the 600 block of Oak Street. She was taken to the White County Jail. Bond has not been set.

Forty-year-old Samantha F. Blake of Crossville was arrested by Carmi Police at 6:50 p.m. Friday on a traffic stop at Oak and 7th. Blake was charged with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Cannabis in a motor vehicle, Unlawful Display of Registration and cited for Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Blake was taken to the White County Jail where she awaits for her bond to be set by a judge.
