JONESBORO – A Tamms man is facing gun-related charges after he allegedly shot another man in Union County Wednesday.
According to the Union County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a 911 call of a person who had been shot. When deputies arrived, they found 50-year-old Tony D. Miller with a gunshot wound to the head. Miller was flown from the scene to a hospital for treatment of his injuries.
After an investigation by the sheriff’s office and Illinois State Police, 23-year-old Joshua E. Dailey of Tamms was taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Battery with a Firearm, Reckless Conduct and Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm.
Dailey is being held in the Jackson County Detention Center in Murphysboro.
