MARION – The UPS Store, located in the Town and Country Shopping Center on North Carbon Street in Marion, is officially closed.

The City of Marion updated the community about the closure on its Facebook page Tuesday saying not only is the Marion location closed but the one in Carbondale has been closed since late last year.

The City says all UPS store locations are owned and operated by franchisees of The UPS Store, Inc.

If you need to send a package using UPS and have a shipping label, you may do so at The UPS Center on Industrial Park Drive in Marion during regular business hours, Advance Auto Parts on Bittle Place in Marion and at CVS Pharmacy on West Main in Marion. Please contact them to verify hours and available services.

If you don’t have a shipping label, please contact your shipper, explain the situation and they will help you get one.

If you have a QR code through Amazon, Kohl’s in Carbondale accept returns or contact Amazon to reprocess your return and change your return type. This will allow you to get to a “Drop Off Location” label to be printed.

As for mail delivered to mailboxes at the Marion UPS Store, anything that comes through USPS will be returned to sender.
