MARION – Four people have been arrested on drug-related charges in Williamson County.

According to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, on Wednesday a deputy saw a vehicle commit multiple traffic violations and subsequently conducted a traffic stop on Illinois 13 near Halfway Road in Marion.

Five people were in the vehicle, two of which were known to have outstanding Williamson County arrest warrants. Deputies also noticed the odor of cannabis coming from the vehicle.

Deputies assisted by several officers from the Marion Police Department placed the two occupants under arrest for the outstanding arrest warrants. A search of the occupants and the vehicle resulted in locating drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine, a handgun in the possession of a felon and additional amounts of cannabis.

Jarrod H. Jack of Marion was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Aggravated Unlawful Use of Weapon, Possession of a Weapon by a Felon and on a Failure to Appear warrant.

Kendra D. Baber of Marion was arrested for Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle and on a Failure to Appear warrant.

Brandon W. Whistle of Marion was arrested for Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle.

Michelle M. Maroney was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

All four were taken to the Williamson County Jail.
