CARMI – A Cave-In-Rock man is facing felony drug charges in Carmi.

According to a Carmi Police report, 57-year-old Joseph E. Couture was arrested at the Carmi Motel on West Main Street around 7:10 p.m. Monday after police stopped a vehicle for suspended registration.

Officers located methamphetamine inside of the vehicle.

Couture has been charged with Possession of Meth, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Unlawful Use of Property. He is lodged in the White County Jail awaiting bond to be set by a judge.
